@regilsolon i still wouldn't buy that bro. i haven't really checked x-bits labs but reputed sites like HardOCP always have poor intel board reviews. for the money you pay for that, you could do much more which is exactly why no enthusiast really buy those boards.

Intel makes awesome chipsets, they can make better motherboard if they wanted to but that would also mean they will be responsible for supporting a larger range of end users. More profit for them if they just sell the chipset and have 3rd party manufacturers design the board and offer customer service. At least thats how I see it.

From what I read in your comments Intel motherboards are, except for a couple of enthusiast models, mostly basic in features. Perhaps because they cater to OEM and industrial users as some comments say? So if their customers are these big firms, does this mean the boards are still good as far as stability, durability, and compatibility are concerned? Will the boards make mainstream users happy? With medyo strict limitations on what the newest chipsets can do, dako pa ba gihapon ang difference in performance nga mahimo sa enthusiast motherboard makers? I'm getting good feedback from you guys. I hope you can explain it some more. Thank you!

Stability-wise, intel boards are not any better than most boards. Most generalize that these boards are more stable, durable and compatible simply because intel boards dont allow other components to run at speeds other than that recommended by the board. Take for instance on the mems. Even if a mem can operate at an SPD of 1600, there is no way to set it @ 1600 because intel boards would force them to operate @ 1333.

A good analogy would be a 2.0L car capable of running @ 200kph but with a speed limiter of 100kph. Surely this car would last longer than a similar car without the speed limiter (durability), less glitches will be encountered running @ <100kph (stability), you can manage most thoroughfares @ <100kph (compatibility)

But id pick one without the speed limiter any time of the day.

    Hope this helps..

Would still go for Intel boards. Basic features ra ako kailangan, and I don't do OC. One more thing, Virtualization > OC.

The things is, for the same price you can get a better board... even if you're not overclocking. so why buy intel?
