This sells at $139, around 6.5k locally. The Asrock Z68 pro3-m sells for several hundreds less and you get full tweaking options similar to upper-end Asus boards and this is a Z68.

Ive seen some friends' ECS boards and most of them, if not all, dont even have options for voltage adjustment. Ive had a temporary ECS S478 board once and that darn thing cant even get to 210fsb (840 quad-pumped). Ive built budget rigs for some relatives and friends for several years using Asrock mobos. Even their G31/41 have options for voltage and memory timings. Take note that these asrock boards sell in the 2k range.

And how about biostar boards which are also cheap but you can tweak them to your heart's content? Unfortunately, there are not so many of them here. What about Gigabyte's G31M-ES2C which sells for sub-3k? Doesnt have heatsinks but overclocks like crazy, way above other G31s out there. In the lga775 days, there was an Abit P35 board which sells for around 3.5k but can do 1150-1200mhz mems. I havent seen ECS or the other brands do that for 3.5k.

I have never been exactly an advocate of boards such as ECS, Emaxx, Jetway, Foxconn and the like.
But, oh well, that's just me.

Edit: I think i saw one of these (ECS H67H2-M) at GI CMall. Ill try to ask them tomorrow.

Yup Gigabyte G31-ES2C is a good board ( I use to own one ). And Biostar and Abit has shown their oc reputation back in the LGA 775 days. ( too bad Abit is a goner ). Also we got your point about you hating ECS so much there is no need to bash on senseless things such as putting heatsink on a mosfet. Seriously? And you do now dili ra ang heatsink sa mosfet ang naka-add sa price ana right? Ayaw na paghago2, cause it won't change the fact that ECS is offering value boards at a given price range no Asus, MSI or Gigabyte can touch.
