Do you read "Confessions of St. Augustine?"
He wrote an account of his conversion in his Confessions, which became a classic of Christian theology.(wiki)
FYI. He is one of the Holy Doctors of the Church.
Only 3 women were included. St. Catherine, St. Teresa and the last one declared by Bl. John Paul II on Oct of 1997 was St. Therese of Lisieux.
These people were made Saints not because they have done many great things, was very known 'coz of their great deeds when they were still living. No, their writings and teachings made them Saints. Our great Theologians.

"tolle, lege" "tolle, lege" (take up and read, take up and read) ~a voice heard by St. Augustine that prompted his conversion
"I cast myself down I know not how, under a certain fig-tree, giving full vent to my tears; and the floods of mine eyes gushed out an acceptable sacrifice to Thee. And, not indeed in these words, yet to this purpose, spake I much unto Thee: and Thou, O Lord, how long? how long, Lord, wilt Thou be angry for ever? Remember not our former iniquities, for I felt that I was held by them. I sent up these sorrowful words: How long, how long, "to-morrow, and tomorrow?" Why not now?" ~St Augustine
