That's because the human mind tends to think of the worst before the best.. this can be applied to almost everything situation.

But in this case, with "SCANDAL", in the Philippines, being a some-what conservative country, speaking of S.EX or relating to S.EX is almost like taboo.

So when we hear the word SCANDAL == the worst case scenario that most people can think of related to that word is a "S.EX Video".


Another explanation would be "conditioning of the mind". Whenever we watch TV, and the news is about SCANDAL, they immediately relate it to a ***-scandal and not other types of scandals. So our brain has been conditioned to see SCANDAL=*** related.
