Why do people look at me when i speak english in the jeep?

When your English stands out, people will look at you.

That could mean either your English is astounding, or your English sucks.

And if you're too loud and sound too obnoxious, people will undoubtedly look at you and judge you in several ways. Such as a rich, spoiled rich kid, a trying-hard English whore, a burikat nga nagpaimpress, or wala nibagay ang English sa nawong.

dili na mo matter kung mo lingi sila nimo or not. the concept is dili normal sa pilipinas na mag sige ka istorya ug inenglis labi na ga jeep raka..

i think the point is.. it's not just applied here in pinas, that if we speak english, people will look at us.

If u were in japan, or india, or any other country where you speak another language aside from their mother tongue, u will surely get a few eyes looking at you.


Same with the koreans and german people in cebu. Whent hey speak their language in the jeep, people look at them.

in the malls, in the office, at school - english is seen as normal.

but sa jeep pajud..... u WILL get stared at
