FROM MY FRIEND: Despite of the reports trending on Twitter that Deron JUST ACCEPTED a deal to play for Besiktas is false . Deron's camp said he'll accept the deal if the lockout "continues" . The deal is 200K/month includes driver , security guard , personal assistant available 24 hours a day .

Also , Besiktas is interested on signing Kobe and Zaza .

dili gyud siya completely false... they have agreed that deron will play for besiktas IF, there won't be an NBA season. this is what i've been saying before... that these players will play for europe. its not like they can't find other leagues to play for.

new york — the nba has laid off about 114 people over the last two days, planned cost-cutting moves that a league spokesman says are "not a direct result of the lockout."

the laid off employees represent about 11 percent of the league office workforce in new york, new jersey and internationally.

Spokesman mike bass tells the associated press on thursday the layoffs are "a response to the underlying issue that the league’s expenses far outpace our revenues," not because of the work stoppage that began july 1.

The cuts are part of a plan to reduce costs by $50 million in all areas.

The league has recently consolidated offices in europe and asia by closing offices in paris and tokyo.

we did not say we're excited about it. i just posted it as a sort of update. what ever that meeting is all about, i still wish this lockout did not happened.
