bro what do you mean by "glide" when approaching traffic light? new term pod na sa motorcycle riding dah,,

basin imo pasabot mag low gear naka from 4th,3rd... until 1st gear full stop naka? gamay nalang imong brake gigamit ani. ok ra ni para pang padong stop light nga layo paka..

What will actually happen is that the rear tire will lose some contact to the ground, hence the locking up of the rear.

Most of the time, the locking up will cause the rider to panic.

I'm not saying that one shouldn't use the rear brake. It's better that it only supplements the front brake rather the other way around.

Don't grab the front brake even when in an emergency braking situation.
Gradual pressure is the key here. The front will never lock up as long as you apply gradual pressure to the bike.

I use my rear brake alone without applying the front brake only when I'm negotiating through tight traffic. Just to give you an idea, I replace my front pads twice before I replace the rear. 2:1 ang ila ration

    Hope this helps
    i agree with sir epoy

kaybaw ka sir epoy kung makig istorya ko sa laing about unsaun pag brake, dili nlang ko mag saba nga front ako primary brake, kay kaybaw nko sa ila i sulti. yaw anang front brake kay malamba ka..... pero ako gihapong front ako e brake pag start nko ug motor motor mao nama gud ni ako na andan, and feel sad nko mas effective man siya, shorter stoping distance. and to think my UB s front brake is a drum brake, but its still better than when i used rear brake.

1st bagnos was ulan 2nd bagnos was naay balas ang dalan slide kau...so I finally replaced it with dunlop tires....nya pilit2x na gyud inig brake nako.

sir i think its called progressive braking, different levels of pressure is applied to your brake, pitikx2 or jerking the brake will result in wheel lock try this link here
