Well i will not resign.
I will be the next director of NASA.
Why would I resign?
That would be the best job in the world for me.
I get to travel free to the moon and back.
That alone would cost me millions of dollars.

I'm the first man to the moon.
That alone, NASA and the US government is willing to pay me a good sum of money for the rest of my life.
I get to supervise the next lunar missions.

Even our chess Grandmasters get P2million a year from the government.
That's for giving our country the pride of having a grandmaster.

How much is the government willing to give to Armstrong
for giving US the pride in the field of space travel.

And why would he hide from the press if he got nothing to hide?
And why would nasa allow him to be interviewed?
Unless NASA has something to hide. right?
Science is about truth!
If NASA has nothing to hide. they would arrange interviews for him.
The more interviews he get, the more funds they receive. More money for the projects.

It makes sense though ... if he solved a crime twice , he should been employed by the law enforcement agencies by now because that is a FEAT na he singlehandedly solved that made the REAL INVESTIGATORS look like IDIOTS .

IMO - The Moon Landing was a show made to win the space race and win moral and the propaganda war againts the soviets. If they really did land on the moon they can prove it with the marks they made on the moon upon landing, the tracks of the rover used there, footprints left there since there's very little gravity and no atmoshpere those those prints will last. The reason why they forced armstrong to retire is probably he wont slip in interviews since he will be getting more media attention on the job and more job related questtions while on the job. Also Doc has a point of the trip not survivable while travelling at 4g for 3 days that's just plain superhuman if you can achieve that. (But they did make an achievement from this, The Greatest Propaganda and Lie ever being accepted as the truth. Hello Jesus!)

Im sure prior to his space mission he got paid handsomely,(probability of dying is high and he might cant come back safely.) im sure the government also compensated him even more with his contributions.

he became a prof of aerospace engineering in a university after he resigned. he was not hiding and im sure the students and other profs had interviewed him about his mission.

I think NASA has already given the public the things the public need to know.(duh its NASA they always filter things to say.) Neil will ever say to all his interviews "I landed on the moon" but people, including you and the likes of you, will still say "he's lying. i dont believe it." people will still think it's a conspiracy.

I agree with xavisimao. He was just a pilot. There are other powerful, more intelligent personnels of Nasa who is way more qualified than him to be their director.
It's like manny pacquiao winning everything and have contributed so much to our nation. yet do you want him to be a director of a department?
