Raid and partition hhd

@ werty ang 2x 1pc(WD green ) ra bos ako gusto e raid kay ang ako WD blue kay back up ra sako document and music and pictures; almost magamit ra nako ni kung mag reformat ko

boss nganu tuod imo pa ipartition ang naka raid na nga hdd? RAID 0 ka boss? murag mao raman cguro boss kay bisan pag naka partition imong RAID ig ka down sa usa ka HDD hagtos gyud na tanan data.

1) e raid and both HDD(A) and HDD(B) then e partition to half [divide to drive C and D]

or

2) e buwag nlng; like si HDD(A) kay pang OS and si HDD(B) kay pang drive D?

For redundancy, I would go for option number 1. Mirror both HDDs and partition it. Although with this setup it's slower but your data is protected just in case one of the HDDs fail.

Ok ra kaayo bai, mao bitaw purpose ana to combine 2 or more disks into a single volume and provide parity / read-write performance / mirror.

yup im currently using two identical HHD which are 2x1TB WD green and my WD blue is only for back up porposes( i only connect it to my pc kung before ko mag reformat, ako sa back upan ako files), pls. see ako first post nko
