We're always so adamant that we don't need God to do good, to love, to achieve peace, etc...but the core of all these arguments is, "persistence". How could we persist at all these virtues when we only rely on purely basic, natural human instinct? Someone hurts us, we hurt them. Someone hates us, then we also hate them. Thus creates a very disturbing thin line between order and chaos. Not so different from the animals right? Is that how we really want to perceive life? What then is the use of surviving within the realms of our physical capabilities when we're all gonna die in the end? I mean think about it. Is man's purpose just to merely live and die? Or is it that we are meant for something bigger?
A lot of people detest religion when the main object of it is not to get man to heaven but to get heaven unto him. Of course there are abuses within but it doesn't change its very nature which is to lead the way towards God's love. Just like the bible. We can hate it or even deny its existence but it still won't change its reality.
Now going back to the thread subject, the truth about Jesus Christ can be found in the bible. I encourage you all to get to know Him more before you judge for yourselves. In my own life, I've had my share of bitterness, disappointments and struggles but I always find solace in the God-Man who taught me these marvelous things:
*love my enemies
*love my neighbor as myself
*turn the left cheek when the other is slapped
*"For if the world hates you, remember that it Hated me first."
*forgive seventy times seven times
*"Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life?"
I don't know about you but I don't want to die. I dread it! So it got me thinking how could one Being come into the world knowing that He would just die? Then I found meaning in His dying, that we will someday be born into eternal life. I don't know a much more greater LoVe than that. I'd be lying if I said I'm not afraid to go to hell but then I realized that
hell is a state of the soul. One could still be walking and breathing here on earth and he's already experiencing hell by the choices he makes, the utter chaos of his mind and the deliberate misuse and abuse of his freedom! Souls go to hell bec. they want to be there and they do not want to get out. I dread that more than the physical dying itself!
