yeah that's true...
PLDT just "upgraded" from PPPoE to NGN (ENET ENCAP, as you can see each node is in the nest of 255.255.255.240 subnet which is probably 14 nodes are sharing the same subgateway, thats why we experience slow downs and downtimes.) wheew! hehe
Oh by the way.. Zyxel 600 is the win! You can configure it as stand alone or bridge.. lots of features in it.. just telnet and do the tweaking (dont ask how.. ok?).

Some modem/router combination are having issues, you don't get the IP from the modem.
I had this once before, but forgot what modem/router combination it was.
I currently have 3 pldt modems, and a d-link router, and the router get the ip without any issues from all the 3 modems.
@mindless: NGN has nothing to do with DCP. You can have pppoe or dcp, depends on your package. Users with a static IP will have most of the time pppoe.
