Even the Panglao Bohol International Airport (PBIA) was put to a halt, as far as I know.

Dugay naman to when we visited (2008 I think), can't remember the exact details. When we got there mura pa ug wilderness ang lugar, wala pay preparation sa dalan padung didto, etc.

Sadly, I'm not from Bohol nor do I visit there very often, but my dad's a CE who has several projects done in Bohol, and maybe I'll ask him about it next time he gets back.

Ho ho ho, thread resurrect.

Found something in the paper (CDN) today that's quite relevant here. P-Noy's not liking the whole New Bohol Airport project at all - says that the effects of its construction to Panglao Island's lush environment and ecosystem outweigh the benefits. Instead of building an entirely new airport about 2.5km big on an island with limestone underneath, he finds it better to expand an already existing airport somewhere in Tagbilaran.

A pretty good move, if you ask me.
