What is moral might be different from what is legal. There is no question that what the lady Mayor did was morally right even if the law is against it. Mayor Duterte cannot be morally blamed for what she did. Sometimes, you need to violate the law (which can be immoral) in order to do what is morally right (i.e., to defend the welfare of most people in the community).

In the misdt of demolition, tragedy, chaos, the paki usap to postpone for atleast 2 hrs - delivering the right temper is way down impossible. Other suggest to take anger management.. heck with that! I've been lurking around few days now, I think I can agree to some posters here. Yes, it is wrong to hit somebody but can be justified if it's only for self defense. But I also understand the mayor's intention, she's a lady after all. Emotional and tired. Even if her being a woman doesn't justify her said action, I still admire her guts and her stand regarding this. I was amazed, really - that was my initial reaction. But anyway what's done is done. I'm just hoping that it will not happen again. Peace out guys, we don't have to insult each other.

i d0nt think what she did was right. she's the mayor, she should display proper conduct. and if she cannot handle the pressure in her place, why should she become a mayor in the first place?
