A part of me thinks that much of the support for this punching episode stems from Pacquiao's recent lackluster boxing match. Is it possible that people didn't get their quota of one-on-one violence? Just a thought.

Kanang "waiting for 2 hrs" ba has no basis absolutely under the law, ang tawag ana, imong gi BAWG ang balaud arun mo angkon sa imohang gusto. Even waiting 1 minute is an unnecessary delay as the court order is immediately enforceable and an appeal does not bar its enforcement.

We have to respect rule of law, making excuses for squatters will not end poverty it will worsen it. A mayor being a sworn public servant should be the first to respect the courts, if she doesn't serve an example what will be the result but anarchy? Do you want to live in a society like that, where people make up their own rules because they have excuses? Being poor doesn't give you more rights than other people!

And why are people arguing whether or not he was mauled or just slapped by a woman, it's completely irrelevant. The sheriff is an officer of the court, even just a push of the hand is already a criminal offense called Direct Assault which carries very heavy penalties. These laws are in place so that people will respect the police and others in authority, without these laws, how can people do their jobs? The function of a sheriff of the court is very important, they are the implementing arm of the court. Without them the judges can't do anything and as a result the law becomes a farce that nobody will obey. Think about it before you people post...
sometimes mo gamit ka ug common sense usa mo hisgot ug laws.
laws are there to guide us only, mura ragud na ug medicine naay mga best practice para sa isa ka certain sakit or operation pero that doesn't mean na dili ka pde mo gamit ug mga options nga out of the book if that method can save the life of a patient. mao rapud na sa gbuhat sa mayor.

she used a method which is out of the book para walay mamatay ato nga demolition. yes sayop man tuod to ang pagpama agi niya pero that doesn't make him less of a mayor kay siya ra ang mayor nga ako nahibaw-an nga naa jud sa atubangan sa problema ug mangunay permi sa pagtabang.

im sure nga igo ra ma suspended ang mayor for what she has done kay overall the people of davao will not allow other mayor (not a duterte) to sit sa position. ni tagam na ang mga taw sa nahitabo sa una nga nawala lang gani ang duterte nanaghan dayon ang mga adik2 ug balik.

    ---
DAVAO is DAVAO, CEBU is CEBU dili na pde i compare kay ang system sa cebu perting gubota, ang DAVAO simple ra kaau yet effective

sila nay mag igo ana. ug di mo favor sa gbuhat ni duterte then wala natay mabuhat ana kay we can never understand how they work things there kay dili man ta taga did2. kasayon ra sabton ana oi.

SHE MAY DID A WRONG MOVE BY HURTING THE SHERIFF BUT IT WAS A RIGHT DECISION TO PREVENT SOMETHING THAT COULD HAVE BEEN WORST hehehe

let's admit it.. may mali talaga dun sa ginawa ni Mayor Sara.. but she is willing (IMO) to trade her job and reputation just to protect the lives of the people behind the demolition.
simple instruction.. for better solution.. hindi maintindihan..

Base daw kasi sa initial reports "Duterte had asked the court for a 2-hour extension to allow residents of Barangay Kapitan Tomas Monteverde Sr. Suliman, Agdao to leave the demolition site, but her request was ignored." Pinahupa man lang sana yung "putik-putik" nilang kondisyon.

i don't know mayor Sarah personaly but i can atest to the kind of leader (or at least she is trying to be). we went to davao sometime ago as a group of representative from local companies. Sarah is one of our host, she is not the mayor yet by that time. she welcomed us. take us for a stroll around the venue. even joined picture takings and personaly explaining what davao can offer? since then i became a believer of the Duterte's....it's not all about bravado but a sense of responsibility for the people of davao. hope we have more leaders like Sarah (not punching people) who has the "balls" to go against to thise people who thinks theay are above the law etc.
kudos Mayor Sarah and to the people of Davao!!!

Wow i was so impressed at what Mayor Sarah Duterte did punching a sheriff! And it hit me we Davaoenos are very lucky to have a mayor like her though im not really from Davao City, i feel proud and lucky. She have the true blood of a public servant and the valor of the ancient Joan of Arc.. and it surely run in the veins of the Duterte's. If we only have at least a president like her.. im sure our country would be able to rise up and be a country admired by the world like we admire Davao City. I hope we will have more Sarah Detertes in our country...willing to defend for what is right for humanitarian reason. May God bless u Sarah for u have the heart of the great and possess the agility and dexterity of an eagle and the fierce, daring, aggressive qualities of a tiger, * which is an admirable quality few leaders possess.* Long live Davao City!

Saludo ako sa iyo Mayor Sara! Kung ako ang nasa lugar mo, gagawin ko rin yon, not once but as many number of people who were hurt by the demolition. Sometimes you need to do it if only to send a message to people who are heartless.Haven't they heard about the preferential option for the poor and the disadvantaged?

Good day to everyone.

pati ang tga Commission on human right etta rosales, kita pod niya ang heart sa among mayor.......

nganung ang cebu kitid man kaayo mag huna2x?

You haven't answered my questions, yet you continue with your rants. I believe there is a place for people, and davao is obviously not for you. Because unlike people here in cebu davaowenos are safe in their city, and they are not threatened.

The ones threatened are those who are doing things against the law. And not the davaowenos who are law abiding citizens.

If you are a law abiding citizen in davao you are not treated as cattle, a cancer to the society and certainly not an enemy. You are considered as a constistuents. So for those who are freakin scared/terrified with my Davao city. Then please, stay where you are. You might be too paranoid you wont last outside our airport.
You should give up. People who have never been to Davao long enough to appreciate the city's management by the Dutertes will continue to run their ignorant mouths based on a few seconds vid clip. Television seems to be their bible.

Weak leadership will bring down Davao City more easily than it will Cebu. Cebu has so much going for it not because of management but because of its infrastructure. In Cebu we have MEPZ, an established international port, is an island, and we are the transit point for trade between Luzon and Mindanao. Davao being in Mindanao alone (the one place most associated with war and terror in the country) is a challenge only strong leadership can address. Weak leadership will ruin Davao City or any Mindanao city for that matter.

As for the mayor having no jurisdiction on the incident, I beg to differ. Peace and order and the people's welfare is a mandate of the city government. Had the demolition caused more harm considering there was a very legitimate offer presented for a more peaceful resolution, then the sheriff could have been legally liable. No doubt she was wrong in her actions but if I were to decide on the case the circumstances alone would have mitigated much of her punishment.

What reason could make a reasonable man not accept a more peaceful resolution to the conflict if it will only make his job easier? Money. The sheriff is corrupt I bet my soul on it. That explains why he refuses to even issue a comment.

I know nothing about them personally, but i do admire the Mayor for showing compassion to her people. It is very often to see tough and courageous woman like her specially a woman in politics. She dont depend her people but only want to show them that she is not against them and that she is trying to fix and cool down the situation.

Watching the video makes me smile.I feel sorry for the sheriff that the Mayor did not respect him as an authority especially if you are the family of that sheriff.Im not giving justice for what the Mayor did but if you were in her shoes, you will be provoked if there is someone who is inconsiderate to the so-called less fortunate.

I guess sending the sheriff to the hospital is her way of apologizing.

There is harm being done but good thing is no one is being killed or something.

    Keep it up Duterte's.
