advise lang: if di mo ka dawat sa opinion sa uban tao.. ayaw nalang mo react... just give out your own opinion also but not pointing to others....
In other words, respect each other's opinion.
World Peace!!!

yes the farmer keeps the chicken for companionship gyud ang mugawas sir/mam if you insist on comparing it to the way davao is being governed unless one chicken became a threat to the other chickens then that chicken would have to go. thats why i told you that your comparison with a farmer and his chickens is wrong in the first place.
your argument about the constitution and our bill of rights have a point but you have to admit that most criminals/druglords laugh at how our system works here in our beloved country. only the poor gets punished while those big time criminals get the time of their lives. now that is not exactly in our constitution right?
but hey, im not here to argue, we davaoenos are happy with the way things are, we are not afraid of our mayor/vice mayor, in fact we adore/love the dutertes. we live in a peaceful, discliplined and clean life because of the way they handle things, and to me, its better than any cockamamie constitutional rights bullcrap, because in the end, it gets the job done.
as ive said, its hard to explain to a non-davaoeno, and even harder for a non-davaoeno to understand us davaoenos.
btw, the duterte's are from cebu baya hehe. naa man gani duterte street dira banda sa guadalupe diba? so in behalf of all davaoenos, we thank cebu for giving us our most beloved mayor/vice-mayor... sorry wala nay bawiay
peace kaninyong tanan ^_^
nah, education through physical violence is not cool. also physical violence is a very bad sign, bad trait of a leader. it means he/she doesn't know how to deal with certain situations and result to violence to displace his/her frustrations, not in tune with his/her own emotion.
leaders should be diplomatic
if the Sheriff have done wrong because of not giving in her request, why beat him? just because you are the Mayor you have the right to beat anyone? just because you are member of political family you can beat anyone in the crowd?
how would you feel being beaten badly in the crowd? though she already requested the sheriff to cease things, but still she could have still ask it again in personal rather than instantly beating him in the face of the crowd. I'm sure the sheriff didn't expect her to beat him but rather he expected her to do some talking.
You cannot discipline people by only installing fear to them.

I do agree with what Mayor Inday did, although it's wrong that she vented out her frustration over the sheriff. Both the judge, sheriff and the mayor had a discussion over how the demolition should take place and with one goal, to have a peaceful resolution and for the benefit of all parties.
Of course the mayor is not above the judiciary branch as it is a separate entity. She did not stop the demolition. She asked for a two (2) hour allowance for a resolve other issues. Obviously, Mr. Sheriff didn't listen. Perhaps, pressure by someone to immediately push through the demolition, or else (just my two cents).
Nevertheless, if the executive branch can respect its judiciary counterpart's decision why can't the latter do the same to the former. Or as the Roman poet, Juvenal puts it "quis custodiet ipsos custodes?"
Anyway, I still salute how the strong willed mayor of Davao stood up for her actions. It's her city and it's her responsibility to take good care of her constituents.
IMO, Bisag unsa pa ka suko si Mayor, wala siya sa lugar para manakit ug tawo. Samot pa jud nga naay media nag cover sa iyang pagpanakit. If she can do that w/ the cameras rolling, sus imagine nlang ko unsay gama sa iyang mga maids/helpers sa ilang balay. They must be going through hell kung masuko si Mayor. As young children, we were taught to be kind, not to hurt others w/ words or actions, the Mayor certainly had a different upbringing. Seriously, one slap would have awaken the Sheriff from his sleep, gi usban pa jud. It looks like she was on it for the kill. Rage jud to, fury.
I got an Infraction because of this thread.
Damn that Mayor!! hahahhaaa![]()
we have to understand also mga sir/mam nga a riot occured and people got hurt because of the sheriffs stubborness... gihangyo na gani siya sa mayor nga hulat lang ug 2 hours before mag start ug demolition kay para iwas gubot, but still the sheriff blatantly ignored the mayor's plea, so nagka gubot gyud and people got hurt.
mao gani ingon ni mayor "what is 2 hours? unsa lang mana ang 2 ka oras?" if it meant safety for everyone concerned... gikan na gani ka sa isa ka problema, nadungagan pa jud kay naay sheriff nga nagpaka hero. kinsa gud dili sapoton ana?
