The Mayor was simply fighting back for those who had no chance against the superior force of the Sheriff. If the Sheriff waited for 2 hours, he would have accomplished the demolition just the same, but without the violence. While others may say that a wrong cannot be solved with another wrong, there are times when someone has to stand up against the bullies. Our Lady Mayor certainly had the balls to do that, unlike some other politicians i know. And she has the balls to accept the consequences of her action. unlike some people who look for other people to blame for their mistakes. Before we condemn her for what she has done, let's ask ourselves, what have WE DONE to make society better? Let those who have done more than Our Lady Mayor be the first to throw criticisms at her." - Jojo Cuyugan

murag sayop man imong comparison sir/mam... kay the vigilantes in davao dont kill at random, they only kill those who are a threat to society.

if we are gonna stick with the farmer story, the chickens are protected because the farmer kills the predators <-- thats the closest comparison i can come up with.

dili ko member sa DDS but i think there is a 3-strike policy... kung nadakpan ka at first doing crime or pushing drugs, you will be on the watchlist, by the 2nd time you are caught, you will be given a warning usually in print (i cant remember how many instances the local newspapers here published the names of druglords and criminals on the front page), now kung gahi gyud ka, ug padayon sa imong gibati, by the 3rd time nga nasakpan ka, expect to go home in a body bag.

And the farmer keeps the chickens for sole purpose of companionship?

    Don't be too naive.

Speaking of DDS...it is never justified to summarily execute a person, even the lowest of lowlifes. What is happening is these provincial officials cannot enforce the proper system of justice as assured by our constitution and bill of rights. If that is so and people like our society be governed by petty kings and princesses, then scrap our bill of rights and submit to total enslavement to these lords.
