I don't think it is weird, it is for security purposes that they put a cap on the amount you can withdraw in a day.
What if your wallet gets stolen and you are one of the majority that uses the top ten passwords in an ATM?
At least kung naa kay milyones, 40k ra ang makuha, tungod sa max amount.
This cap applies to your account so any other ATM they will try to use will reject any withrawal for the day.
Plus, para sad ni, so they can service more people, if they don't put a cap, a two million dollar withrawal will render your ATM useless for the rest of the period until more cash can be reloaded.

Wala pa ko kasuway sa imong situation. Tungod tingali na kay limited lang ilang cash sa specific branch. So they would want you to use the ATM first, to distribute the damage na lang tingali na.

the way see I it, the bank doesnt store more than 50k over the counter that's why they instruct you withdraw some over the counter.

When i open a dollar account at bdo, i ask them about the info where there's a delay during a withdrawal. They inform me that it depends on the amount of money being withdrawn. If i withdraw more than a $1k I have to call them beforehand or 1 day ahead since they do not have that amount of money on hand.

if im not mistaken 50k man guro ang limit ma withdraw sa BDO sa ilang ATM for 1 day ambot karon kng g usab nila, mao gyud hasol pd to-od dli nalang diritso sa counter if more than 50k imo i withdraw..
