I did some reading and I think the reason why FDA wrote this because they don't know how much reduced the glutathione injectibles (in blood stream) are. Pwede man sila makiha ani if dli nila i-control.

You see we have this NADPH (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate) which is necessary to keep glutathione reduced, which in turn detoxifies free radicals and peroxides. Decrease in NADPH in red blood cells will lead to hemolytic anemia, due to poor RBC defense against oxidizing agents...

We already have enough glutathione in our system to do this... So we should take in more NADPH instead (hehehe)

Also the side-effect mechanism that people go whiter with excess glutathione is that it destroys tyrosine (an amino acid in our body) which is a precursor to melanin. Thus less melanin, mas puti. But people don't realize we also need Tyrosine for Thyroxine (sa thyroid), Dopamine (for brain function). And kung kulang na ang pinoy sa usual melanin na naa dapat niya mas prone na to skin cancer. ever wonder why mas taas ang percentage sa mga puti og skin cancer kay sa pinoy? its because they lack melanin.

So love your skin, istoryans... We were born this way.

If you want to be paler just try to keep out of the sun. So many people who use unnatural whitening methods look extremely freaky, like space aliens or something. Don't let unscrupulous marketing companies make you feel inadequate or that you have to conform to their design. The "natural" Filipina is known worldwide for simple, honest beauty.

Unfortunately Filipinas have been too influenced already by modern society. Not only are they changing how they look physically, they are also changing their values. From hair, to their skin, down to their personalities.
