So you believe in the concept of God diay?

In the Bible, helping others and making yourself as a living sacrifice is a form of worshiping GOD. But i guess you don't believe that.

I think the bible isn't valid given its history.. it is at best just some other person's understanding of God a long long time ago.

Scientists can probably write a better "Bible" so to speak... incorporating what we now know today.
So, you are either an Agnostic or an Anti-God. hinay hinay na ug lubad dah

If scientist will write a Bible about God, all the pages will be blank because there's NO physical evidence he can show.
But If he can write some content to that Bible, he will change the cover to "The Theory of God" - and it will Not be accepted by the entire Scientific community.

Im Not a Catholic so Dili ko ma excommunicate. Nganu mag huwat paman ka nga ma excommunicate? I renounce nah na imu pagka Theist, remove your connection to that religion and start a new Life.
Because we live in a society which thinks that Atheists go around killing people/raping women and have no morals....

Until mawala ang ignorant people who think like that, it's best to not tell them my personal views.

Ingna sah ko nga nituo ka ug Ginoo pero wa lang ka kauyun sa iyang mga buhat kay para matubag taka ana.
You have to understand that my understanding of God does not fall under the judeo Christian definition of a being that watches over us and influences things.

So to say nga wala ko ka uyon sa iyang gi buhat is incorrect.

Let's just say we have different understanding of God.

Sure, but not in a religious sense. God is more of a concept than a being.

For me, religion is just one attempt to explain "God". Science is another. Pero I find science's explanations to make more sense than religion.

In the Bible, helping others and making yourself as a living sacrifice is a form of worshiping GOD. But i guess you don't believe that.
That for me is shallow because you are helping the person as a form of worship to get a certain reward. Why don't you as a fellow human being just help someone without the need for worship or reward?

Probably Agnostic because I am open to the possibility of him existing or not.

It's better to read a blank page of truth than a whole book of guesses and fairy tales.

If the theories pass testing and maintain its elegance.. why not? Unlike religious people, scientists have an open mind and are always open to newer theories.

(remember what the Church did to Galileo?)

I did Not say about any reward. God said Faith is requirements for salvation. Good Works is a manifestation of True Faith. God commanded us to do Good NOT so that we will be saved, BUT because its the Right thing to do as a person.

I just follow the law... not as basis for my belief... but because it is what is socially/morally accepted.

This and of course the golden rule.

Actually, some Atheist are going around Killing people... you should speak up to clear things to people who do not know.
How do you explain that of the 4% of atheists in the world, only 0.04% of inmates in the prison system are atheist?

So an Atheist is less likely to kill you than a theist.

SO youre Not an Atheist Then.
I'm open to God's existence or non-existence.... and frankly, it doesn't matter and bother me..

    what does that make me?

I take it that you are a Christian then? or what Catholics refer to as "protestants" although I find it a derogatory term as I have a lot of Christian friends.

From my understanding, the requirement is that for Myself to be saved I have to accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior right?

I talked to my friend about this and we had a difference of opinion on this point:

Person A does not believe in God but does good things all his life.

Person B believes in God but does bad things all his life.

Now, between the two, who would most likely go to heaven?

My Christian friend said it was Person B while I believe it would be Person A.

Does it matter so much what we believe as to what we do on this earth?

I would like to hear other people's opinion on this also on how they perceive God's judgement.
