Why go to Guatemala when we have our very own Banilad sinkhole in Cabancalan, Mandaue? Here's a Google Earth screenshot.
I tried to go there last weekend pero gi block man ang agi-anan. I saw a proposal in Ayala mall by USC to develop the sinkhole into a tourist spot. It's supposed to be a Mandaue attraction pero dili man ta ka sulod.Last edited by dubioz; 04-28-2011 at 08:18 PM.

Tinu-od kaayo ni bro, pero ayaw i compara sa Guatemala. Ang tubig sa Banilad Sinkhole duol na sa ground level. Pero sa diameter mas dako pa tingali ang Banilad.

sinkhole - - - resulta na pud siguro ni sa overuse nato sa oil exploration ug use. Do you think dili ma hugno ang portion nga gibutangan sa oil under the earth which would become a vacuum and ultimately ma subside ang material over it, hence, mabungkag ang yuta naa sa ibabaw. hadlok plandungon pud nga usa pud ni siya mo resulta sa linog ug other calamities
