im planning also to buy accent against ford fiesta....if you read sa reviews sa gawas, ok naman mga hyundai cars compare sa una...mau man gud na impression sa una sa mga korean cars pero nausab na siguro na karun but wa ko sure jud kay waman koy korean car...hehe...sa reviews pud, ok man daw ang accent....siguro nadala ra sa mga feedbacks ang all new korean cars sa unang panahon na korean cars

yes korean cars are far better now in terms of technology especially the engine, interior of course, exterior hell yeah its better. But and i mean but long term usage has not improved yet, promise bisan taxi driver imu pangutanon fail au mga korean cars if malmalay, nya according to some accent users kung dili malmalon naa daw maguba gihapon pero di parehas sa taxi na grabe au. Pero yeah imo go far accent over fiesta.

just bought my Vios E Automatic last March.
so far, nice ang ride ky hilum ang makina, and hilum pd ang dagan.
before ko nag buy, nag survey jd ko sa mga taxi drivers(kay cla man cge malmal ug auto hehe) nga makita nko sa kng asa ang nindot aning 3 ka cars
Rio, Vios and Accent.

around 98% sa ila vios, 2% accent, walay nag recommend ug rio.
reason why gamy ang ni go for korean cars?
after a year of usage sa mga korean cars, dghan na daw mangaguba. dghan daw kabasol nga mga operators. mahal pud daw maintenance.
sa na notice pud nko, wala nai bag o nga taxi karon nga korean cars.
note: kanang sa survey, mga around 15 drivers ra ako gi ask. kailangan segurista pd ta ^_^
and..... taxi driving style na sya, dli regular home-ofis and vice-versa, w/ pakapin laag, ang kanang travel nla hehe.

and then nag choose ko between vios and city.
mahal man daw maintenance ang honda compared sa toyota.
so for a young professional like me, the best ang vios hehe

sakto gyud bro basta nag sugod paka then wa kay extra money for expensive maintainance go for vios, mau mana ako gipangau sa ako mom 1.5g kay 850k man ang budget niya para ka palit ko brand new car sayang lang mga 50-100k civic na unta haha.

if reviews sa gawas, i think d kaau sya ma apply dri when it comes to reliability issues 'coz for one, ilang dalan dd2, lain dri hehe you know namn how nice our streets here hehe and 2nd, ang climate and environment sa gawas ky lahi ra sa ato pud.
when it comes to looks and the technology, nice jd kaau ang new Accent, and the Elantra compared sa Vios. mura sila gagmy nga Sonata(which I really admire). pero on my part, they still have to prove their worth jd, especially ang mga sedans nla.
who knows, far better jd d i kaau ang mga bag o ron nla hehe only time can tell

For me, I would shy away from Hyundai and Kia budget segment cars. True that they have better warranty at 150K kms or 5 years but the aftersales service of hyundai and kia are not good. If you want to go the hyundai way, then get the all-new Elantra or the i30. Pero if dili maka abot ang budget, better stick with Toyota. Vios is a good car. Although underpowered a bit for its size, but it is not made for going fast anyway.

I haven't tried the latest model Accent (2012), but I heard that it is quite good. Maybe if this is the model you are pitting against the vios then maybe it would be a hard choice to make. It's a beauty and it's a beast as what car reviews say. I also read that though being more economical than the previous model, it has a more powerful engine. The exterior is completely redesigned as well as the interior and it doesn't shout out CHEAP!

So anyway, it's really your decision. Test drive both cars. And choose the car that you find the most comfortable to drive. It's you, afterall, who's going to use the car right. Also, don't close out other models. What about the Honda City? How about the hatchbacks? Mazda 2, Jazz, and Fiesta perhaps?

Bottomline is, don't rush into buying a car. It's a long term investment that. So be sure to get the car you want and you'll love for at least for another 5 years even if other models keep on emerging.

2 years ago paman ko nakapalit bro, nya di ko nahan og altis personally weirdan ko sa iyang luyo, nya mahal man 2 ang g sa altis mau ang g nlng sa vios, anyways wa man ko nagmahay, nya if looks pede raman i modify og kits especially if maka join ka sa vcp tudluan ka nila aha palit barato, ship2 gikan manila og kits and stuff.
