there are have been past plans to merge the two visayans BOHOL -CEBU before.. long pa even kato kang Marcos pa nga time.... Imelda was proposing it pa gani atong tyma, according to my dad before..

Sadly it didnt materialized, why? because the politicians themselves(on their respective towns) doesnt want to link the two regions.. why? because they would lose personal profits...

I doubt this would materialize still today. (if it didnt materialized before) Why? because daghan mga businessman ang maligsan if Naa bridge na mag link sa two.. I for one would site the powerful Escanos, Aboitiz would demand a roadblock to this proposed plans.... Wala nay manakay sa OceanJet, Supercat nila.. Their passenger craft business would be bankrupt....
