Only herpdoc is courageous enough to "TAKE CARE" of deadly snakes, but in my opinion nothing beats an Ophiophagus hannah or the hamadryad better known as the KING COBRA. ....the largest venomous cobra/ snake to have slithered through the earth's surface. Its size and venom makes it a formidable snake. Though so as not to mislead anybody here, I AM NOT AN HERPETOLOGIST......am just familiar with snakes and the Philippines Wildlife and the legislation covering its care.

some snakes starve for several months even as long as 6 months. Just make sure you provide a clean water supply for your retic. 2 weeks shouldnt really be a cause for alarm not unless other unusual symptoms are observed.

Good thing we only have a few number of deadly snakes in our country.

I have a question to our herpetologists here. What is the most challenging deadly snake you have ever dreamed to take care of?
Local? I would say the P. flavomaculatus & the C. calligaster. Both needs specialized housing & diet.
Others? Nothings beats the A. hispida. Specialized terrestrial mollusc feeders, arboreal, extremely sensitive housing needs, and not to mention no know poly/mono anti-venom available.

King's O. hannah are a hardy breed. Aside from their size & venom volume, they're fairly easy to house & keep. As long as you have the space to keep them, the constant supply of snakes for tukka, and some common sense. And you'll be fine.

Yes, I USED TO STUDY & CARE FOR VENOMUS SNAKES & OTHER venomous animals.
I am a HERPETOLOGIST, and i specialized mainly on Comparative Toxicology.
