I think that you bringing ideas from the antipinoy website needs to be moderated.

Your getting portions from someone's blog and pasting it here without the benefit of leading the reader as to how that line was arrived at is misleading, to say the least.

What you are doing is flame-baiting in my book kay kebaw ka magka-gubot ang mga taw. You know this country is deeply-rooted in Christianity and Faith and here you are posting one-liners that you know would offend members. Statistics show that religious countries (such as the Philippines) tend to be more economically deprived than secular countries (such as most Western countries).

So what does that tell us?

it tells us that we are indeed a stupid bunch. i mean its right in front of us. religion is a deterrent. religion is anti progress. religion is scamming. religion is bollocks. yet, here we are, acting blind and ignorant doing nothing about it. we are a lost cause unless we get our acts together

I think it just shows that religiosity is very high among poor countries / uneducated countries because religion is basically directed at the poor.

The poor and uneducated are more suceptible to religious indoctrination.
This is not an attack on religion per se but is an honest and sincere observation of religion and its appeal to the poor/needy/hopeless/sick/dying/desperate/vulnerable people.


This can be summed up by this statement..

Religion gives hope to poor people... It gives them hope and allows them to cope with their situation... It makes them content and feel blessed to be poor.

Religion is the great equalizer. It requires very little for poor people but a lot for rich people... Sort of like a bracketed income tax scheme.
