It took me years pud to do that. Even karon, there are times nga di ko kaabot ug 70% in a month but still dako2 gihapon akong masave.

What I did para makasave ko ug 70%? I listed every expense that I have in a month to the last centavo. When I first did that, I was very surprised to see nga daghan diay kaayo ko ug gasto nga unnecessary. Like for one, akong snacks in a day was P30. I'm working 6 times a week so P180 a week na and for a month, P720 na. P720 in a month is a big amount but di lang nako makita kay gamay ra man ang P30. So what I did, gireduce nako tanan gastos nga pwede mareduce and even eliminated some nga pwede ra man wala. It was hard at first kay naandan na gud but eventually it became a part of me. After mga 5 months, I compared my expenses and I saw some 20% difference sa previous ug current nako.

I also make a list sa akong mga savings/investments. Seeing it by the numbers makes me want to save/invest more. Mao ni ang usa sa mga reason nganong nabawasan gyud nako akong mga gasto. I don't invest just for the sake of investing or nibutang lang ko ug kwarta with the hopes of gaining in the future. I make it a point nga kabalo gyud ko sa akong mga investments to the last detail. IMO, that's what a real investor does.

I hope that I have shared a thing or two nga makatabang pud sa uban diri.
