Pero expected na jud ni sa ako thread nga naay ganahan ug dli ganahan. Na provoke lang tingali ka tungod sa title sa video nga dli ta angay ma proud pero sa tinuoray, gipalabas lang ang atong mga problema. Wala man ko ni reklamo nga wala na jud tay ayu ani.

I think that Mr. PinoyMonkeyPride's intentions are noble, but I do not agree on how he presents his message. If I have pent-up rage in me (which I do) from all this suffering I am feeling right now tungod sa kalisod sa panahon then, I will be clamoring for immediate action/solution from this certain nameless person who seems to have the answers we need.

By saying great ideas, I meant he should be able to push his advocacy without stepping on people's toes (not at least when the timing isn't right, yet). He should find strategies to get his message across without being noticed by the people we are trying to remove from power...

I won't pretend to know, but if all that video's saying is true and the rich people are conniving and manipulating almost all aspects of our daily lives then there is a lot of work to be done in order to bring down that 'beast'.

Where do we start? I don't know, pero someone needs to do it.

I understand your point and personally I think Mr. PinoyMonkeyPride does not need to be faceless. Whoever he is, if he want to inspire, he needs to step out from behind the internet and do talks around major gatherings, and get his message to as many people as there are willing to listen.

Obviously, he can't do this alone. He needs a strong backing of dedicated people who can preach the same message he says in those videos. The more people who understand, the more we empower the population. But I would caution from inciting too much anger against powerful crooked rich politicians. I think this has been done and only results in bloodshed.

The message he is trying to get across needs to be disseminated more creatively in a manner that The Masses will understand, but at the same time does not attract undue attention.

And while I post this someone from the 'oligarchs' is reading it.

the main point here is for pinoys to act now and do their best to improve their lives
it does not mean that we are going to do EDSA 3 or kill all dirty politicians
i think it means that we ourselves should start improving our way of living and not settle for anything less
we deserve to live a life of abundance
if we can't have it then we have to earn it
we must not lose hope but instead aim high
we must also be grateful that we have not been totally enslaved instead, we must use this will to become better, work better to earn better, help one another and be aware of what is happening in our country

I was actually referring to the blissful ones here in this thread. Because if this thread gets swarmed by the blissful ones, nothing will be learned out of it.

I think it's a good thing that they are here and read the thoughts in this thread. They just need to understand the issues.

Being young I think they are prone to lingaw², pero once they feel the pinch of the economy they will eventually look for answers ug ngano ta na-ingon ani as a nation...

Don't get me wrong, inspiration is always a good thing. It feels great to watch Manny win every fight and to see Charice making it big in other countries. The question here is after all of those are said and done, then what? Did they produce more jobs? Did they invite in more investors? Will our economy suddenly bloom because the Philippines was mentioned in some boxing match or concert? No. (Why not make a separate thread for that?)

I think their international popularity plays a significant role and will eventually be a big help to us. I think it's a good thing that the name 'Philippines' gets mentioned around and gets appreciated by more people -- especially the influential ones who are looking to invest.

I am not naive and I am pretty sure the first impressions from will be 'impoverished' and even 'ignorant', and the security situation is not helping. But I also believe that as they look closer at the situation, and with the success of the other big foreign firms already here, more will come to open their businesses.

My point is that I'm 95% sure that most of the Istoryans here are either youth or young adults that are almost or already exposed to the outside world or even abroad. They will also be/ already are the voting population that we have now, and for the next couple of decades. God forbid, I don't think this country can take another Erap in the Presidency.

What our Istoryans need is education, and I'm not just talking about schools. They need to read, listen, and talk about things relevant to the place they live in. That is, I believe, what a forum is all about.

Politics is a whole new ball game, and needs to be treated like a PsyWar puzzle. The amount of disinformation thrown around during a political campaign is just overwhelming usahay maglibog nalang ka ug unsa juy tinuod kay iyahay na sila ug dautanay. Iyahay na ug pagawas sa hugaw sa ilang kaatbang.

Mahug nalang pud na it's a matter of choosing the lesser evil. Now, most people would turn to their churches in order to have some "divine guidance" kunuhay. What happens? The politicians woo the Churches... tsk tsk tsk.

Educating the Masses is the right idea. But what type of education to give is the challenge.

Ato ibutang,if we limit the discussions to Cebu City, can we tell right away kinsa ang mga pulitiko na nagmatinuod sa ilang serbisyo nato? If we are sure of that person then we vote for him.

Now, having said that. Can we also vote for the Senators and Congressmen, and even the President and Vice-President, that that Cebuano pulitiko na atong gipili associates with?

Maybe. Then again, maybe not. I have not voted for the last 2 elections specifically because wa ko ganahi sa nanagan.

Look what happened to the previous Presidential elections. It's undeniable that most of the masses voted for their candidate who "inspired" them the most, the one who had a "good background" and the one who "will sugpo corruption". Look at how much we've improved.

If that video is telling the truth, then the outcome was predictable. We were manipulated by the media, and by the popular news stations that they also control.

This also gives a preview of what kind of tough battle it will be up ahead to anyone who is willing to bring these rich people's machinations down. If they control all those things that the video mentions, then each one needs to be freed up so truthful people can takeover and bring this nation back on its feet.

Again, my point here is that it is not bad to discuss our nations flaws, because if we keep on looking at what is "inspirational", it'll be difficult to realize that just by talking about simple things, we might unconsciously incorporate the solutions in our daily lives.

I agree. For what this video is trying to achieve, I think that it's effective and people are starting to get the message. This one and the Angry Birds, in my opinion, hits the message home and it reaches out to the younger people. The seed has been planted, so to speak.

I think that what remains to be done is the ground work. There needs to be a concrete actionable plan that key people on the ground can follow and execute.

You wanna wrestle the control of the media from the oligarchs? Put up something that is way better than what they have.

You wanna remove corrupt politicians from key public service offices? I say i-expose and iyang kabuang and run for office against that politician. (That's what I like about the Tulfo brothers, they're always on the look-out for these types of crooks.)



I think some Filipinos are doing this already. If you look around, you see there are new Pinoy companies popping up here and there, pero I think there is no concerted effort. We need to support them. Pili-on nato ang mga maayong tawo and let's support the businesses they put up so it will prosper and stand-up to these monopolizing companies.

But it's gonna be a long fight. It will require hard work from dedicated people, and the support of the Masses. We need to empower those 11 million jobless Pinoys in our country.

Big question is how?
