Please help with my internet connection

mga bro i have a bayatel connetion in my cafe, i dont know what is the problem with this connection. either the router, cable connection, or the build-in lan card. i cant surf in the net or even log-in in a YM but i can continue my downloading and i ping any site. whats is the problem with this mga bro? can you please help me with this problem?

hmmmm, possible DNS problem. call your ISP tech support, and let the tech in manila reset your IP address/connection there.

by the way, where is your internet cafe located?

try also pinging your two DNSs if they have a good latency response and have a no time out signal.

Pinging the dns server may result in no response. Most provider block ping already. Just try to enter the IP of google 64.233.167.99 in your browser and see if the google webpage appears or not. IF it appears, its the dns. In this case, use a free dns temporary (4.2.2.2). If it does NOT appear, its NOT the dns server and you would have to check with your ISP.

bro parehas na akoa sauna maka download pero dili ka surf sa internet usahay mo hang pa ang imo pc
suggest lang ko pag download ug AVAST antivirus kanang home edition kay nag ka virus na imo pc maski pa AVG UG MC CAFE OR NORTON DILI KA DETECT SA VIRUS KANA LANG GYUD AVAST KAY PASPAS NA AKO PC THEN UNTIL NOW WALA NAKO PROBLEM SA PC NAKO

bayantel doesnt block theirs.

bai acqua, guess you are one of the subscribers affected by this...

Internet service may still be able to experience some quality problems due to the increased in latency on the EAC/PC-1 cable route. As per IP Ops, our Verizon/UUnet upstream is specifically affected by this activity.

As advised by our counterparts that although the North Segment of the PC-1 cable was normalized last August 25, another activity will be initiated but this time, on the East Segment (see Figure A).

I highly suggest that you let your ISP tech reset your IP address there in Manila. You may call 2543633 and press 1. Good Luck
