If you are implying that the findings of the lower courts are conclusive to the Supreme Court, there is no use for the remedy of APPEAL...

There are myriad of cases were the SC ruled that the lower court committed REVERSIBLE error and modified the decision.

Sorry bai Earlybird I cannnot swallow your argument hook, line and sinker.

put it this way, generally in this country which is dominated by catholics, when one is accused of murder or rape and the direct witness is the victim or somebody will witness FOR the victim, in "normal" circumstances it is ALMOST sure that the accused will be convicted. what more if the evidences were planted and testimonies were staged and the witnesses for the accuseds were "literally" ignored in court and the victim's relatives had higher connections than the accuseds?

WHY? because we don't have a jury system and the justice system decision is somehow influenced or compromised to say the least, for fear public condemnation aided by media. why do you think judges ABHOR media limelight/focus when they dismiss big drug cases? if they gave a sound decision, then they should fear nothing.

If all these are just mere conspiracy theories then by an objective and intelligent individual, it is definitely worth buying and certainly raises reasonable doubts. It does not conclued that Paco is innocent but the reasons are enough to warrant a re-trial. Otherwise, the "better" citizens who were really with Paco in Manila will completely lose fatih in the system because this case is not only about the Chiong 7 and the victims.

first of all that priest is not for hire and went here on his on volition. in fact, if you check his previous stands even if you or me are not presonally agreeable, he stood by his principles even others were already silenced or paid. moreover, he stressed and definitely did not say that Paco is innocent. All he said that Paco was not given a fair trial. Get your facts straight!

secondly, you question the priest and never questioned the background, integrity and the testimony of Rusia and who was backing him up?

    HOW IRONIC!
