Bro I suggest you read or get the book "Secrets & Stories of War" volumes 1 & 2

I really love that book esp vol 1

It was my granfather's passed down to my dad...started reading it when I got bored of highschool textbooks

It's a hardbound book a condensation by Reader's Digest published, most probably, in the 60's or late 50's

there you can read about real accounts involving the normandy invasion (the longest day, the pacific war,
also involves the SS, Himmler, the gestapo, french spies & resistance....esp der Fuhrer himself.
it's really a veery good read
