my post above simply means that, in cebu we don't have a truly certified sound engineers/acoustician. but we have experienced sound engineers. get it...
MUSIKINESIS RECORDING STUDIO payter!!!! kol 4121701
sa Mannex Jamming Studios.. ok ra kaau... pede nnu i -pm si mannex kay siyta ang tag-iya ngadto..
sa pheonix sa la paloma has very gud equipment.. and a certified sound engineer.. mahal lang..
Can anyone tell me locations of music studios around Cebu City? I suppose Bizrock bands have gone to one of these studios..... I know MEDIATRACK AUDIO VIDEO PRODUCTION STUDIO in V. rama but dont know of any other studio. thanks for any feedback.
The right studio for you depends on several factors:
how much is your budget?
What type of music does your band play?
How much do you know about recording?
Do you have a deadline?
These are important factors for consideration..
There are different studios that may be recommended to match your need and preference.. There's Backyard Project Studios in lahug, There's ZZubu at Acacia St., There's Phoenix Glide in Labangon and there's another studio at Urgello..
Thanks for the tips.... I do have a hunch of some of those but on the budget thing... im left in the dark. So suppose i like to record a rock guitar instrumental song (purely guitar riffs like paul gilbert thing), how much do you think that would cost me the least possible amount. Id go for an hour payment basis, a single song for starters, one bass player, one drum, two guitars(lead and rhythm). Which of the studios you mentioned would suit me best?
Quality-wise would these studios offer far better results than home pc software installed studio programs like cakewalk or rig studio? The output to this programs to me are frustrating.... I might be missing some points but feel free to educate me on this.
Thanks for your valuable input...
Lets rock till we drop!!!!!!
hmmm... if you have good musicians and have planned pre-production to a "T" then, i guess you guys should be spending around 2-3000p including mixing..Originally Posted by jojo102876
some bands can spend less coz they opt for lesser guitar takes and don't scrutinize too much on vocal production.. If you really take your time, 2-3k would be reasonable.. Both Bakyard and Zzubu charge P450 per/hr for tracking/mixing/mastering..
With regard to comparing outputs of both studios as against Home PC/Studio Set ups, of course these studios are far better options.. Take this into consideration: All of Urbandub's albums were recorded at Backyard, as well as a couple of albums from Slapshock and Agaw Agimat. As far as Zzubu is concerned, latest albums from Ambassadors as well as soon to be released albums of CDMC, Cattski, Aggressive Audio are currently being completed and from what i've heard so far, They SOUND REALLY GREAT!!
If you want to do metal, bakyard with Mikmik as your engineer would be the way to go.. But zzubu's great as well..
By the way, Bakyard does sonar and Zzubu uses Vegas, FYI..
Whewww... Thats a lot of info.... Anyway thanks man. I'll probably be droppin by sometime on one of these studios to really weigh my options.
