Hazy conditions expected to persist on Wednesday

SINGAPORE : The air quality in Singapore hovered between the moderate and unhealthy ranges on Tuesday.
The 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) at 4pm was 92, with the 3-hourly PSI climbing to 106 at 5pm, before sliding to 105 at 6pm.

The National Environment Agency (NEA) says the prevailing south-easterly winds are continuing to bring in smoke haze from fires in Kalimantan to Singapore.

The latest satellite pictures detected 113 hotspots in Borneo, mainly in the southern parts of West and Central Kalimantan.

Hotspots with moderate to dense smoke haze continued to be observed in Riau, Jambi and South Sumatra.

NEA says the winds are expected to remain south-easterly on Wednesday and the current haze situation is likely to persist.

You are not allowed to get in to Singapore if you have a one way ticket and you are coming in as a visitor unless you have a connecting flight. Basin masangit ka ana sa ilang immigration.
