on the thought of hazing.. what i really don't understand are the means of testing the physical aspect of a neophyte.. i agree with fat's contention that they should be tested in almost all aspect of their individuality, but do we really have to resort to dangerous means? since then, one of the things that really put a stain at frat's integrity as an organization (since i still regarded them as one) are the fact that some lives were lost while in the consummation of initiaion.. i can still recall that one news na naa gyd namatay kay while nagsige bunal ang naginitiate sa iya, kalit lang ni collapse ang gibunalan, probably his body gave up at the time, and na-timingan gyd na pagbunal ug balik ang kuto-kuto niya ang nabunalan... have you guys learned from experience huh?

I don't know if such a thing can at be least avoided, if not totally erradicated.. if this somehow has been a part of frat culture then i guess efforts addressing to it by concerned entities will just be futile..

and by the way.. let's not justify something that is destructive just because other organizations/people/family are doing it... beating somebody will never be good, in the peole's perspective, moreover in the eyes of God.. the end does not justify the means.. so i hope you guys could do something with it..

hazing has been around ever since who knows when. if you compare the number of people who survived hazing than those who have died, the number is but very small; i am not saying it is a good thing. these deaths have been caused by irresponsible and careless people. if such rituals were conducted within reasons, none of these things would happen.

as said in previous posts, there has to be a compromise with mostly everything. just to let everyone know, most countries including the philippines have an "anti-hazing law" in existence, and this law is being practised by most registered fraternities.

these questions have been answered in previous posts within this thread. we are going around in circles...
