Forget about AMD, they are more expensive and slower at the same time. As what others said, the i5 2500 is the best ( probably the only ) option.

sir, if i were you, id go for intel.

with a limited budget, i would sacrifice a few seconds off my cpu performance going amd(or even i3) and use what i save to focus setup on gaming(since mao purpose sa TS). even an athlonII x4 or an overclocked phenomII x2 is still a good gaming platform which still can output decent frames with most games
