Default Monitor calibration and ICC workflow profiling.

How many here properly calibrate their monitors and use proper color profiling with their photography?

I wanted this to be a poll but i don't know how to start a poll thread so here are the options:

    1. I profile my monitor using hardware calibration.
    2. I profile my monitor using some sort of software.
    3. I don't do color profiling at all because I just trust my monitor as-is.

Feel free to explain your own methods too. Thanks.

Ooppss, 4 should be 3, i'll fix that.

@no. 2, there used to be adobe gamma a basic software for eyeballing which comes with PS but im not sure if the new versions of PS still do. There are other software out there.

    1. I profile my monitor using hardware calibration.

This is the most accurate calibration method. I am using spyder 3 express, used it on my 23'' LCD monitor.

1, 2 or 3 so which one do you follow? I have been using method 1 for years ever since ICC was introduced/implemented.
