Sometimes, dependence is really not good...even morals and values are based on a book...

Religion should not be a definitive basis of morals...and atheism should not be branded as lack of the latter....moreso, labeled as anti-christs....

See? Like Malic, there is a right answer to a theist's question....

    Atheists, tread softly....

    2. para nko..kinahanglan jd diay naai meaning tanan? the people you mentioned just wanted to philosophize or nihatag lang sila ug added reasons or whatever they want to call it..some people don't mind not looking or exploring what Friedrich Nietzsche and the others they may put meaning or whatever ilaha pd na..some might not give a rat's a s s about it..and i think dli dapat iimpose ang mga philosophies or whatever line of thinkng Friedrich Nietzsche and the others on other atheists.

    3. if you think Hitler and his other contemporaries were the ones who killed millions unsa nlang kaha ang The Inquisition..maayo gani kang Hitler and his cohorts kai at least well documented ilang mga killing spree..unsa nlang kaha sa inquisition nga wla jd..gitago pa na sa simbahan.
    Political weakness

    4. Naa man ginoo or wla suffering is always present..good or evil is subjective to whoever is in power..in the case ni hitler killing jews is good so it's a morally good sa ilahang barangay ang mupatay sa jews..unsaon ta man na daghan man dli ganahan ana na idea so pildi iyang chosen good..which is to kill jews.

    5. As i've said good or bad is dictated kng si kinsa ang naai power..if sa unang panahon pwede ra mag incest sa medieval times para dli masagulan ug laing bloodline ang "royal" bloodline so morally correct na sya.

    6. Meaning and purpose is only up to the person concerned..even our ancestors kadtong mga hominids pa never had any concept of god..ang ilaha ra is makakaon sila whenever they want...so ang atoang mga ancestors mao rapd to ilang meaning and purpose sa ilang life for like several million years until nailisan silag mas dako ug brain na hominid..and kadto sila lahi pd to ilang purpose na nakita sa ilang kinabuhi..so para nko depende rana sa tao..if ikaw gusto kag other philosophical or whatever purpose or meaning then imoha sad na..if naa kai madani na laing tao na mu think ug parehas nmo aw..good for you..if wla aw sorry.
That's where the danger is, a person in power who controls a country or the world, who doesn't believe in the absolute could just make his/her own moral guidelines e. g. it is morally right to impregnate your daughters and grand daughters..

Well for your question, my mother couldn't seem to dictate and stop me from what I want to do with my life and I am pretty certain that my life is so much fun than yours..
apparently, bro the answer is too much for you to handle. anaa pagsulti. If you can't take the heat, stop cooking.

I'lll try to make it a one word answer next time. lol

Tuga tuga man ka ug pilosopo oi nya mabuthan ra diay ug balik nimo.

More fun? Pasabta kuno ko how much fun your life is if you wasted hours of your life posting those lines of gibberish that no one cares to read? Simple. Maybe because you are miserable. That is one thing every one here is certain.

If EVEN your mother isn't dictating to you how you run your life how do you explain your deluded beliefs from another source dictating how to run your life? Untol napud imong logic bai.

You are speaking from the point of view of your beliefs regarding the acts of another culture. In short, that statement is spawned from YOUR own moral guidelines that another is not following.

A very subjective comment indeed and poses no credibility whatsoever.

Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion, but not hi/her own facts.

No I don't really want God to exist. I don't want him to exist as a matter of fact. I just couldn't find a reason why he couldn't.

Still it doesn't answer the question as to why there is something rather than nothing.
when you say "something" does it include god?
it's the same question as "why does god exist" (assuming he is real) you wont be able to find a solid answer.

my answer would be: its there for no apparent reason

The golden rule by the statement itself is too selfish, it devoid the meaning of love and compassion.
the golden rule doesn't stop you to promote love and compassion

It's ironic to know that every single part of a human body has a purpose but the human body itself doesn't have one.
i am referring to a "divine purpose", of course my purpose here on earth is to live and improve, that's why i have those parts to keep me alive , but after that there's nothing much to it except my little contribution to society.

War has a natural cause, a man's innate sinfulness. I'd say religious idealism being used for political advantage.
    yep you are correct

Human compassion indeed exist to everyone of us, except for the psychopaths. And by default man is prone to evil. Just imagine if right and wrong is subjective to every single one of us.
yep so is man is by default good , this is what i have been trying to tell someone that Statistics will come into play when determining what is good and what is wrong... humans are smart species they adapt to what is more efficient, so its safe.

You can only say that since you already have an idea or right an wrong which if we are going to trace will lead us to ancient ancestors who believes in a supernatural entities..
i say its part of our instincts

I don't know why fear such a thing, when dying will end ones suffering, nothing to worry, and nothing to think of.
for some people they are, because they need assurance

Even the anti-christs didn't do that.... But I think monarchies did that to preserve their bloodline....
