I guess the problem is not because your sister kept his fone in her bag but rather she forget the only way for the two of you to communicate that time was through the fone and forget to look for it. There's so many benefits of keeping things inside their bag and one of it is safety and security.

True story: naa ko kabarkada who always shows up 4hours late sa laag. We tell her show up by 2pm but we actually show up at 6pm. Either mag sayo na siya or on time

imagina if we tell her show up by 6pm? 10pm nana maabot!

It means the urgency of you being there is not needed... meaning wala tingali nagdali imong sis nga magpakuha cya nimo.. kay if urgent pa jud ta cya nga magpakuha nimo.. she should keep her cellphone on her hand all the time, aron maka pickup dayon cya nimo ig tawag nimo nya...

Take cue next time.. if wala nagdali ang tao.. ayaw lang pud ug atat ug adto... take time and txt her that your on the way and if abot naka.. txt her again that your there na.. if wala jud cya mureply nimo.. take time to just stroll lang pud sa mall... aron d ka ma aburido ba.. hehehe

I'm with you on this one. Can't expect everyone to hold on to their phones 24/7.

Which is why I think it will only be a matter of time before Nokia/Motorola/Apple will invent a "mobile phone skin implant". Phone on your skin. No charging, all you need to do is just eat. Should look something like this:
