Just like any product, you establish a need (even a non-existent one) and sell the product that satisfies that need.

Marketing Strategy #2 (for existing beliefs):
Find something wrong with an existing product and provide an alternative. Sell the alternative to unwitting consumer.

The perfect product would be something that is consumable. Ergo, people keep coming back to you for refills.
