@ shenz, thnx for the kind words... I totally forgot that I started this sweet thread for Dads hehehe

    OnT:

I came home from a long and grueling OT from work and missed dinner for the nth time.. It's always my habit since day one to kiss my Dad as soon as I arrive home from school/work. Last night was rather different... I awoke him and realized how much I miss my Dad. Since I got my a$$ back to work from a long sick leave, I've been missing a whole week plus of dinnertime with him because of OT work. I felt guilty that I had to stay in his room for a bit and talked about my day at work and my trip tomorrow. I haven't left yet but I already feel this ache of being away from him. Cheesy as it may sound but I'm just not used to being away for so long. I even kid around that he's prolly thrilled coz he can go out on dates without my supervision lols...

Funny thing he told me last night, "Langga, what junk food do you want me to buy for your trip? I'll buy them tomorrow." That made me smile and laugh thinking about it and replied, "Pappy ui, dili ni fieldtrip ha? Anyway, everything is for free so I don't need to buy anything. Besides, dili nako grade school Pappy hehehe" Then I squeezed his cheeks...

Hahayss... Dads are simply the best

At the bewitching hour, I greeted my Dad a happy bee day
in his room and he was actually wide awake.. assuming jud
ako Pappy dah lols.. then I asked how old he was, I cut him off,

"Pappy is already 67.... but looking dashing 47 ahhhhh... ayeee"

pirte katawa sa ako Pappy saying, "Amaw jud ka langga..."

... I was thinking.. if only guys would be like my Dad noh? things
would have been simple and comfy... but naaah my Dad is a tough
act to follow... *beaming with pride*

    ^^ remembering pappy...

... this memory always had me smiling from ear to ear..

when I graduated from high school, he gave me his blessing that I can have a BF in college however right after he accompanied me to Velez for our enrollment, he sat me down for a brief serious talk..

    over burgers and fries:

Pappy: excited nako nimo langga na magcollege na ka.. ayaw tawn pagbinoang og pag sorority/frat frat ha
Me: of course pappy ui, skwela jud ko tarong
Pappy: ummm ummm yee, naa lang pod ko dako na hangyo nimo..
    Me: unsa man pappy? (kulbaan)
Pappy: pwede di lang sa ka mag-uyab2x?

    I laughed so hard...

Me: Why man imo gbawi pappy? *smiling*
Pappy: Kita ko sa mga laki sa skul nimo, d man masaligan.. nahan ko human sa pagskwela
Me: uu ui.. promise na nako... No BFs muna... tigaan sa tikaw og diploma bago ko mag-uyab2x

    (Dako au ngisi ako Pappy)

true enough I didn't... I only started having one when I was 26
