over priced man ang sportage 2011, it's 1.1M 4x2 and 1.3M 4x4 all are GAS, sa hyundai tucson ang 1.3M kay kato na CRDI e-VGT.

just my observation. But overall kia and hyundai cars are now very competitive very good engine, design, safety and 5yrs warranty pa.

Yeah, that separates hyundai and kia, the competitive pricing. In short, mahal ang kia compared to its sister hyundai. We just don't know on what market grounds their pricing was based on.

    sobra lang jud ka overpriced..

check this out sa kia USA tagpila lang ang entry level nga sportage

if you convert $18,295 to Php = P786,685 ++ dili sad cguro kaabot ug 1.3M oi

and 1 more thing, if mo browse ka sa US site, mas barato ang forte kaysa sportage unlike sa ato diri nga mas mahal kaau ang forte...

it's in US bro... you can't assume that the pricing is the same... remember the duties and taxes when those units are brought in...

In fact, naa nay gadagan sa manila sa mga new kia sportage units... Philippine specced sportage range from 1.1M to 1.4M. All current releases are in petrol engines while the diesel w/ R-eVGT engines are believed to be released later this year or early next year due to detuning of their CRDi engines to match the fuel quality our country has...

Expect the pricing to be more expensive than the tucson... But the sportage has better equipment than its sister with DRL (Daylight Running Lights ala Audi/BMW and other euro cars), power retract mirrors, and projector HID head lights..

Market driven ang pricing sa Kia Forte and Sportage sa US. It is because, ang coupe is a fast moving segment nila didto, and still on mid-size car segment, and they have to stay to a competetive pricing that could fight Ford, Toyota, Hyundai and even some euro cars in the segment Forte belonged. While if SUV are the top of the concerns in the table, they prefer SUVs with huge cabin space (Expedition, X5, Vera Cruz, etc.), that is why a compact SUV is the second option in the table.

But looking at Kia Forte sa pinas, wala jud mo-click... Alanganin i-fight sa Accord/Camry/Sonata/Mazda 6, mahal ra pud kaayo i-fight for Civic FD/Lancer Ex/Hyundai Elantra/Mazda 3. Top specced Forte is around 1.3M. For a 1.3M budget, I'd rather have the top specced Tucson iX R-eVGT AWD...

was at kia the other day. the 4x2 at model is 1.258 all in... thinking, is it worth the price? hyundai tucson is about the same. (2.0l theta II-gas) I'd rather go for a petrol engine than a diesel... all engines coming out on diesel platform for new cars at least euro 4... our diesel is only rated at euro 2. i think that makes a lot of difference on the engine on the long run... besides diesel and gas prices are almost there...

kia prices srp at 1.158 while hyundai is also at 1.158...
