pag tsure bro.. hahaha! if one strongly eagerly and desperately wants to debate about GOD, then he desperately wanting to believe that there is no GOD.. hence part of his very reasonable mind doubted about GOD's existence.. and that makes him partly a believer.

The Bible is not a science book. It does not explain in stark detail how the universe was created. All it says is that that God created lightness and darkness out of nothing. And as if all this non-sense wasn't strange enough---the sun, moon, stars, or anything beyond the atmosphere, according to Genesis, is WATER. I could go on and on how the creation narrative is conflicting with what evidence through science has presented.

then how would you believe the world is created? through a Big bang theory? AFAIK when one crushes another it wouldn't make any out of it but disaster, but science claim its the origin of the universe earth and life...

things are much worth to be believing, there is a creator, and if you wanna find out, live on your faith. If you say you live on philosophy, then tells us where would you based it? on your own books? Or maybe your one of the descendants of gods and goddesses who bore the great wisdom.. nuf said..

"Do not believe in anything simply because you heard it.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.
Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations.
But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."

why can't you think of that towards the universe and anything that was caused by the universe?

A typical view of a non-deep-thinker. how can one create when he was not there? where were planets, galaxies,etc. came from when there was nothing? where was he when there was nothing? where was his brain when he was brainless?

you are just creating a god out of your imagination and defending it as tough as you can.

You're just limiting your way of thinking to the physical laws of the universe. Yes, planet, galaxies, universe just can't pop out from nothing according to the laws of physics, not unless something constant, infinite that isn't bound by the laws of physics, transcending the universe or the material existence caused it to exist.

That is not the way to understand how one's reasoning is to be appreciated. inorder for you to question the validity of one's claim is to question/scrutinize what one is claiming. how can we have a debate when there is no ground? the bible act as the ground as it is the basis of your claims.

Logical fallacy, the bible isn't necessary to be the ground of one's claim. How about you? What is the basis of your claim?

well if you wouldn't believe in what is being rumored and spoken by many, then how would you know which is good or right?

I didn't question the Buddhist teaching but let me used this as a quote to explain to everyone here that everything comes with a superior knowledge. We cannot say that I don't believe your book cause I think i myself is correct.. because if you do that the question goes back to you what makes you think you are correct?
