@ TS: haha.. TS, kita ray magkasinabot ani.. IMHO, i think this is what IAFT is doing (which i believe is right & fair). i remembered they give a different rate sa mga Locals. & also, learning from what happened to us & the thailand rice growers. I remembered "magandang gabi bayan" had an episode about it. the thais studied sa pinas on rice farming/agriculture (UP man guro sad to). & now they are the largest Rice Importer na (pildi pajud ta). not that i we should not be thankful (we need investors sa pinas & koreans are one of them),but we should also think about the future & not just the present. it just seemed to me nga we are selling ourselves short (common trait natong mga pinoy sad). we don't need to be 10 X higher like the US (di sad nato pwede i compare, kay layo pa ta) but we can set a standard for the foreigners. i believe they will still choose us against other countries because of our english. Filipino English is still better than our asian neighbors (with exception of course) & perhaps the new tuition might not need to be very high. Besides everything else (BASIC) is cheap here, so i think tuition can be raised.
my take on OFW, i doubt it is the same issue.. Pinoys are known hardworkers & good (if not the best) workers. so hiring us to a different country is sometimes better than locals kay mas barato para nila & mas efficient (bec. of our education-english language, culture -being able to adapt, & dependability - we work for the long run, not temporary, & most of all CHEAPER than hiring locals). So it is not a disadvatage for them to hire OFWs, unless we are not going to use english language, then lahi nasad na nga storya.
Probelma na TS?
pag-tukod ug imong skwelahan, unya pamahali ug tuition, done!
TS: there you have it, 2 na diay ka school ang naghimo ani.. (IAFT, SWU). & i think it is fair ra sad. coz i believe that you have a point. & maybe naa pay kabalo unsa nga schools ang naay special rate for foreigners.. CDU kaha? naay nakabalo?
That's good. It shows that they believe in our educational system. It shows nga dili kinahanglan ang K12... that the 10 year preparation for college is enough.
Also, it would be very discriminatory to charge them higher than locals. Why do unto them what you fell was bad when it was done unto you brother? Tsk! Tsk! Crabbish? Peace!
Don't kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. The more they come the more credible our schools will be. Win-win kaayo.
Not to mention what it does to our economy...schools, food businesses, rentals, resorts. Think Positive. Wag kang aayaw!
