You have to ask those people giving what they believe the money they give the church will be used for.

You have to value the gesture of poor people giving from what little money they have. They give in the hope that the money will be put to good use.

If everyone had the mindset that the donation won't really help the poor or be used for a good cause.. then why do they still donate?

I have contacts in a big international bank here in Cebu and I can tell you, priests have a lot of personal bank accounts... and its the premium account pa gyud which requires at least 4 million pesos and up. And the currency they use is EURO pa gyud...

I wont name the bank lang. My contact didn't disclose the names of the priests either since its against their rules.. but ni ingon gyud siya nga daghan daw gyud mga pari with those high tier nga accounts.

Religion is a belief system which convinces some people to sacrifice their own lives in its name. This sacrifice is then honored and used as an example to further boost and perpetuate said religion as it idolizes these martyrs.

I suggest you read up on the history of the Philippines during the pre-colonial era.

RELIGION DOES NOT OWN MORALITY.... that is the LIE it wants you to believe so you cannot live without religion.

In other countries and cultures, people live moral lives and do good for their fellowmen without the need for religion.

Religion can be used as a guide for those who need it. But it is not a requirement for the educated and mature societies that have laws and codes of conduct.

The Catholic Church has as much to do with the people leading it than the institution itself. You can have good leaders like Cardinal Sin that can rally the Church ... yet you can have a disjointed CBCP that cannot come to a common understanding with what to do.

If naa man gani nakadeposito nga kwarta ang Catholic Church, it is because, it is an institution and it also needs to finance its projects for the poor, for maintenance of our churches and church owned infrastructures, which have become our link to the past, and other transactions nga nagkinahanglan ug kwarta... I dont think nga pangwarta ang tinood nga reason behind that kay if pangwarta ra, wala ra untay misa, magsige ra nag pangolekta ang mga pari ug obispo...

As far as I know, only hospitals have some sort of "lawsuit insurance" for malpractice suits. Back in the day I didn't imagine the church would have this kind of "insurance" to back up problematic priests! whew!

In the first place, that money is to help people in need NOT do damage control for their mess! Kasayang anang kwartaha oi. gigamit ra pangtago sa mga abusado na parian!

Come on it’s not news anymore, late reaction ka.. dugay nang nasayod ang mga tao ana, pero padayon silag visit sa Church kay in ana ka solid ilang faith despite the negatives nga binuhatan sa nagdumala, dili ang Church as a whole.

Sorry but you can’t have it.. tao rana sila, every organization has its flaws, even in family setting if sungayan ang isa ang tao mubuhat jud nag dautan regardless sa organization nga ilang gi represent. Mao bitaw ni conduct na ang Church recently og strict nga screening sa mga pari as part of their program to fight off the occurrence of exploitations in the future.

Topic is about church's investments. Were talking about where our Donations go. IF theres information that the donation just ends up as settlement money for child abuse victims, then it is a big blow to the church as an institution.

I don't think people are expecting the church to be perfect. BUT we do expect these Church people to have a higher standard of morality since they themselves are supposed to be our role models and guides. In short, being good and doing good is their PROFESSION and is expected from them.

If you treat the church like any other organization like a corporation then it has a lot of unnecessary expenses due to violations from its employees. It should be a non profit organization, yet its employees are enriching themselves with fancy houses, cars and other expenses like support for the families of its employees. Despite being non-profit, It has amassed billions of pesos while millions of people are poor, hungry and suffering.

IF the church was an organization.....it surely is being mismanaged.

Better to just give them the receipt from the donation you gave to charity.
