Niya I beg to disagree sa inyong gipakita nga pangwarta ra ang religion, like the Roman Catholic Church... kung pangwarta ra diay ni, magpakamatay kaha ang mga martir sauna ug karon alang alang sa ilang pagtuo? Molungtad kaha ug halos 2000 years ang Simbahan kung hinimo-himo ra diay ni sa yawa, despite sa mga persecutions sukad pa sa panahon sa Roman empire hangtod karon?

I hope maka-gee mo sa akong point.. If naa man gani nakadeposito nga kwarta ang Catholic Church, it is because, it is an institution and it also needs to finance its projects for the poor, for maintenance of our churches and church owned infrastructures, which have become our link to the past, and other transactions nga nagkinahanglan ug kwarta... I dont think nga pangwarta ang tinood nga reason behind that kay if pangwarta ra, wala ra untay misa, magsige ra nag pangolekta ang mga pari ug obispo...

You give money to someone because you trust them to use the money for the intended purpose that it was asked for. There are laws for breach of that trust.

Then our concern trolls in this thread claim that we give money to the church because we trust them UNCONDITIONALLY to use the money for its intended purpose WITHOUT EXPECTATION OF RESULTS. Then they say they are not accountable for that if they don't use it for that purpose? Wala daw obligasyon ang simbahan mo eksplikar sa unsay nahitabo sa kwarta?! Ha?! Wala mo nayabag?

Those two things have the same thing in common. They require trust. They require money to be entrusted in GOOD FAITH to the recipient. Violation of such will require the full penalty of the law.

Why should the law not apply to scenario #2? Pasbata kuno ko. Puro man gud mo double-standard gud mao na pataka lang yawit!

The RCC is corrupt so this should not come as any surprise to us. The RCC is the invisible force that drags Filipinos further down to POVERTY. They are actually worse than politicians; at least politicians already have that reputation as being CORRUPT. But the Catholic Church? These are scammers dressed in "sacred" robes.

They say that we should help the poor, all the good works for the poor, always for the poor, but they themselves drive cars, live in a lavish lifestyle and decorate churches with senseless designs and ornaments they could spend from their collections... which a large percentage of it comes from the poor.

di sure if sweduhan ba sila. di sad ko sure if angay ba sad sila swelduhan or part sa ilang management ang pag sweldo sa mga priest. but in my opinion, if swelduhan man gani, with their academic achievements, the value and effort, immeasurable spiritual and moral guidance nga ilang na provide ngadto sa mga followers I think they deserve more than that.
