You give money to someone because you trust them to use the money for the intended purpose that it was asked for. There are laws for breach of that trust.
Then our concern trolls in this thread claim that we give money to the church because we trust them UNCONDITIONALLY to use the money for its intended purpose WITHOUT EXPECTATION OF RESULTS. Then they say they are not accountable for that if they don't use it for that purpose?

Those two things have the same thing in common. They require trust. They require money to be entrusted in GOOD FAITH to the recipient. Violation of such will require the full penalty of the law.
Why should the law not apply to scenario #2?
