bitaw noh. ako makasabot man kog hiligaynon (ilonggo) dyutay pero pagsulti na gali, zero jud ko. dili ko kahibalo musulti and medyo dili nako makuha ang ilang accent. chada unta makabalo. i've always been interested in learning another philippine language kay murag kulang ra ang cebuano and tagalog. hehehe.

by the way, can anybody tell if there's a difference between the hiligaynon in bacolod city and iloilo city since they're the two main hiligaynon-speaking cities in the country? i'm thinking there must be at least a slight difference just like the cebuano in cebu and the cebuano in cagayan de oro.

THE SM-Bacolod has moved its target opening date from October to the middle of December this year.

This was disclosed by City Licenses and Permits Division Head Ardis Jaculina who also told Sun.Star Wednesday that the City is yet to install a one-stop-shop processing center for business permits for around 200 business locators inside the upcoming mega mall.

"As far as I know, SM-Bacolod will open on Dec. 16 this year and so we will be busy processing all the business permits for around 200 store outlets this coming October," Jaculina said.

Sources from the SM-Bacolod management, on the other hand, said the delay on the mall's opening was attributed to the interruption of construction works due to the rainy weather in Negros and Bacolod since January this year.

The past three weeks of raining brought about by typhoons "Inday" and "Juan" also affected the on-going works, the sources added.

Despite the slippage on the construction works, still the SM-Bacolod management is confident to have the mall opened by Dec. 16.

The SM-Bacolod is supposed to be opened to the public in mid-October in time of the Bacolod's Masskara Festival.

The company I'm working for is negotiating with SM Management for the provisioning of wi-fi facilities. In our last meeting with SM reps in Manila last Oct. 9, they told us that 80% of the spaces for lease are already reserved. And they informed us that SM Bacolod will be operational by Feb. 2007.

SM Prime to build 4 new malls next yr
    By Zinnia B. Dela Peña
    Source: The Philippine Star

SM Prime Holdings Inc., the country’s largest shopping mall developer and operator, has earmarked P7 billion next year for the construction of four new malls and the expansion of SM Fairview and SM Cebu.

SM Prime president Hans Sy said the new malls will be constructed in Bacolod City; Baliwag, Bulacan; Taytay, Manila; and Muntinlupa.

Sy said the 2007 capital budget excludes land acquisition.

Jeffrey Lim, vice-president for finance of SM Prime, said the projects will be funded with a combination of borrowings and internally-generated cash.

SM Prime earlier said it intends to build four to five malls annually for the next three years in 14 locations including Marikina, Parañaque, Tarlac and Pangasinan.

SM Bacolod is slated for opening in the first quarter of next year.

The company opened last month SM City Lipa in Batangas, bringing the number of SM Prime’s malls to 27.
