When I do good things, its out of principle. I dont even think of God when I give to beggars. I give because I feel the need to do it. Not because there's a God who will quantify my kindness or qualify my actions. If you are a good man, it shouldnt be because of religion, or faith, or other fanatical influence's but because it's innate in you and your satisfaction lies in seeing that you make other people happy not God.

I dont think that if there is really a God, he will throw me to hell just because I am not acknowledging him. The basic concept of Religion I think is to promote kindness and goodwill to mankind, if you're already living up to being kind and good, with or without the belief in God, it should be all that matter.

the thing that you have that moral conscience bro proves that you were made in the image of God. there is no single person who is a product of time + matter + chance who have that kind of longing and compassion.

hmmm..I see a good point brad. truth is, Im not much of a reader..I ddnt learn goodwill from books or teachings, this is as far as I know myslf and all that has been. Actually id always go back to my own life story and how it taught me virtues that allow me to always look at myself from afar and asses my actions. It can be true that some holiness somewhere is touching me through all these but amidst that, I regret to say that I am not a believer of doctrines and accounts of Jesus. I am a supporter though of lessons that you can learn from scriptures, those that seemingly portray the realities of life and are reflective of our social struggles. I see the Bible as just another sensationalized History book that specializes the biography of a man that tells a story that promises redemption to a sinful society. It is a great universal idea thats so strategic as it offers redemption to man from his outlying errors. Surrounding this idea is a medley of good, pure and bad intentions and too unfortunately has become an ocean of opportunist's fortune.

dnt take this against me brad ha. this is just me, this is nothing against you and your opinion and beliefs.

also, I am not totally off the idea that Jesus can be the son of God, but as how you would always want to say it, our freewill is God - given, and that its a gift, I dont think that God will be sad if i give value to this gift by making use of its highest potentials.

at the end of the day, I still feed my family, as a son, a brother, an uncle and more....I do this w/o expecting that God will reward me in heaven, but I do this because I dont think theres ever any other better way of living my life.
