antihistamines are great sleeping pills but toxic sa liver... try relaxing in a beach nga private, minaw ka sa sounds sa waves...
mmmmmm
ambot lang if sakto ba akong pagsabot
ani akong githink
pls correct me if i'm wrong
the antihistamine you are talking about is the H1 receptor antagonist
so basically they are the one found in smooth muscles, on vascular endothelial cells, in the heart, and in the central nervous system.
Now if you take antihistamine just to get some sleep
then you are compromising yourself by blocking the action of the H1 receptor. It's function is compromised.
role in heart: H1-receptors mediate chronotropic effects and coronary vasoconstriction.
role in nervous system:inhibition of cell membrane potassium channels. This depolarizes the neurons and increases the resistance of the neuronal cell membrane, bringing the cell closer to its firing threshold and increasing the excitatory voltage produced by a given excitatory current. H1 receptor antagonists, or antihistamines, produce drowsiness because they oppose this action, reducing neuronal excitation.
role on smooth muscles:linked to transduction systems that cause increased intracellular Ca2+, which leads to muscle contraction.
Provided by the TS' state: (without sleep, immunocompromised)
More or less, in one way or another, there will be effects on your body. These effects may not be observable as of the moment but once something is triggered or stopped, it's never the same. It depends on how your body will react.
I don't think it is recommended to take a drug to a specific disease when you don't have it. '
And it doesn't mean nga if nitake ra kag usa dili ka maapektuhan. This is not a placebo. This is a drug.
Try this bro, UNILAB
UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS
Phenylephrine HCl may cause tremor (muscle shaking), restlessness, anxiety (feeling of uneasiness), insomnia/sleeplessness, nervousness, dizziness, increased blood pressure, palpitation, arrhythmia (irregular heart beat), weakness, respiratory distress (noisy, congested breathing), and pallor.
Chlorphenamine maleate may cause sleepiness and drowsiness. Other undesirable effects include muscle weakness, gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation, dryness of the mouth, nose, and throat, difficulty urinating, ringing in the ears, visual disturbance, blurred vision, insomnia/sleeplessness, tremor, nervousness, irritability, chest tightness, increased or decreased blood pressure, and headache.
Paracetamol, when taken within the recommended dose and duration of treatment, has low incidence of side effects. Skin rashes and minor stomach and intestinal disturbances have been reported.
hehe.. tanan man tambal bro, daghan side effects..naa ko Pharmacist nga friend nga mo-inom nalang og tubig kung naa'y sakit.. hehehe.. kay hadlok sa side effect.
Anyways, IMHO, depende ra man na sa health sa tao, age og sa dosage.
try to see Benadryl AH (DIPHENHYDRAMINE) side effects,
Diphenhydramine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I think, IMHO, mas worse ang Side effect sa Benadryl compared sa Neozep..Adverse effects
Like many other first-generation antihistamines, diphenhydramine can cause strong sedation, due to H1 receptor antagonism. As such, diphenhydramine has also been used as an anxiolytic because of this side-effect. It is also a potent anticholinergic agent, leading to the side-effects of dry mouth and throat, increased heart rate, pupil dilation, urinary retention, constipation, and, at high doses, hallucinations or delirium. Further side-effects include motor impairment (ataxia), flushed skin, blurred vision at nearpoint owing to lack of accommodation (cycloplegia), abnormal sensitivity to bright light (photophobia), difficulty concentrating, short-term memory loss, visual disturbances, irregular breathing, dizziness, irritability, itchy skin, confusion, decreased body temperature (in general, in the hands and/or feet), erectile dysfunction, and excitability.[9] Some side-effects, such as twitching, may be delayed until the drowsiness begins to cease and the person is in more of an awakening mode. Diphenhydramine also has local anesthetic properties, and has been used for patients allergic to common local anesthetics like lidocaine.[10]
There are several levels of evidence strongly indicating diphenhydramine (similar to chlorpheniramine) can block the delayed rectifier potassium channel and consecutively prolong the QT-interval, leading to cardiac arrhythmias, such as torsade de pointes.[11][citation needed]
Diphenhydramine is similar in its effects to dimenhydrinate, its 8-chlorotheophylline salt, although the latter is approximately 60% the potency in terms of required dosage and is slightly less sedating.
Some patients have an allergic reaction to diphenhydramine in the form of hives.[12][13]
Since 2002, the US FDA requires special labeling warning against using multiple products that contain diphenhydramine.[14] Diphenhydramine has been shown to build tolerance against its sedation effectiveness very quickly, with placebo-like results after a third day of common dosage.[15]
Paradoxical reactions to diphenhydramine are documented, in particular, among children, and it may cause excitation instead of sedation.[16][17]
Diphenhydramine is on the "Beers list" to avoid in the elderly.[18]
Benadryl Itch Stopping Gel contains additional ingredients, including camphor. It is dangerous when swallowed.[citation needed
mao gani akong gi-specify nga toxic sa liver ang antihismines kay toxic is deadly. mao sad gani nga ni suggest kog other options nga dili drug-related... kay even vitamins if palabian, naa man juy side-effects...
well fyi lang sir i've been an allergic person and been taking prescription drugs intervally.. meaning i've been through drinking antihisthamine also dili na cya pwede i maintain ang mga anti allergies pra dili ma immune ang imo lawas and for effective results.. and most of the time the doctor will tell me these anti allergies may cause malfunction sa heart. thats why I said in my post thats its in my POV's because its what I thought as what I have been told.. Now if ever sayop ko, then sayop sad ang doctor na nagsulti nko..
Question: which should I believe? the family doctor thats been keeping me alive since birth or ikaw and your google research? since dili ko makahatag nimo ug links na delikado ang antihisthamine sa heart, would you mind provide as links that it states healthy na cya i take for sleepless remedy? Diba nagpataka lang ko ug POV? so ikaw sakto ka?![]()
