To the random newbie who just wanted to boost his post count:

The fan boys wont fret since the core per core performance is not even faster than the 2nd generation SB, what the fan boys will fret is that the performance is so low on the BD chips that it will probably make IB a little more expensive since IB wont have any competition.

And for the keen minds, BD is not a "real" 8 core chip, FPU is shared by 2 cores.

No, not in that sense. AFAIK PIIX2 has 1 FPU unit per core. Just a little googling, dont wanna upset the fans here.
