Just in case there're similar issues provided that this thread will not be locked or closed or deleted and for the sake of archiving; as of this writing in iPhone 4 running on iOS4; version 4.3.3 (non-jailbreaked) this issue could be resolved/modified through toggling the switches (tap) in Settings>General>Accessibility there you will find some options to modify like the zoom on/off toggle switch or fonts etc. (I'm not sure if previous iPhones has the same feature). ☺
