The newer 17-70 2.8-4 OS is about 21~23k or so

for me is your kit lens 18-55 is the best lens sa imo. its very all around na. apang wide angle to protrait. mao na ang ideal nako.=p i know alot of frends who take alot og good pics using the good old 18-55.=p plus u can save up for the better lenses later on when you know what field of photography youll go into, ma portrait, landscape, or etc..=p try also getting a 50mm prime lens.=p actuially akong 50mm ako walkaround lens.=p once maka gamit naka sa imo 50mm malingaw najud ka.=p

you might want to consider tamron's 18-270 VC.

all in one zooms di kaau maau ang image quality ana nila, naay laing all-in-one zoom ang canon, 28-300 3.5-5.6 IS L ok ra ang image quality, pero dili ok ang presyo.
