same specs as u do....P4 3.0E @ 3.2Ghz = temp is 43-55*C (idle to load)
mobo is ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe = temp is 35*C - 38*C
RPM of fan = 3500 to 4300RPM (medium speed)

am using Thermaltake Spark 7+ Xaser Edition as my CPU Cooler with Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste..

probably cleaning ur heatsink and fan plus a good thermal paste will do the job.

pre sinus, advice lang. if hindi ka cgurado sa gagawin mo, ask technical help from someone u know who knows nalang. mahirap na.

how much did you get for the Thermaltake? where? wa ka plans i baligya na and buy a new one?

i think i am getting the normal temp for a prescott with the stock heatsink...

intel pentium 4 lga775 with ht

gets pretty hot ...

55 at startup and gets to 67 when loaded ...

system 1, system 2 goes to 50 and 51 ....

using an antec superlanboy casing with intake and exhaust fans ....

performance is great under normal temps ...

but approaching overheating ... it slows down ... and in danger of cpu burnout ...

had to replace the processor once already ...

so now, i am careful ...

i just put on the aircon, and monitor the temps ....

installing more fans helped a bit ...
